Les Ranchisses is much more than a place to stay: it’s a family estate, built over three generations, where every guest is welcomed with the care reserved for a trusted host. Since 1981, the Chevalier family has kept alive an Ardèche art of living here—comfort without ostentation, nature without rusticity.
Nestled within the Monts d’Ardèche Regional Natural Park, the estate’s 30 hectares form a haven of serenity just minutes from Largentière and the Ardèche Gorges. TheLes Ranchisses water park is one of the estate’s most popular attractions. Open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., supervised by a lifeguard, it offers young and old alike an aquatic freedom rare for a campsite in the Ardèche. We have a heated water park of over 1,000 m², divided into three distinct areas. Heated pools, three Pentagliss slides, a Jacuzzi and a fun paddling pool make up a complex suitable for all ages. For adults, an outdoor pool reserved for swimmers, two outdoor pools, a covered swimming corridor and a NaturSpa balneotherapy area: jacuzzi, hammam, sauna, invite you to relax to the utmost.

For the little ones, there’s theAquakid, a 100 m² area with mini-slides and a rain mushroom. The paddling pool with slides and the indoor pool with pentagliss make for unforgettable afternoons. The water is heated, access is included in your stay, and a wristband is given to you on arrival. Aquatic activities according to schedule: swimming lessons, aquagym, aquabike, water trampoline, Wibit, pool crossfit…

Les Ranchisses cottages are like no other. Air-conditioned and equipped with a semi-covered terrace and garden furniture, they range in size from 18 to 120 m² , depending on the model chosen. From the Marguerite to the Tournesol Premium, via the Tribus – our large XXL cottages for extended families – each cottage in Ardèche has its own character, orientation and light. The 4 fleurs and Premium ranges include bed linen and towels. All cottages are air-conditioned. Some are pet-friendly. At Les Ranchisses, there’s never a dull moment, but there’s never a dull moment either. The idea is to have the choice: to participate or not, to be agitated or to stroll. That’s what we think vacation is all about.
For children (aged 1-17), three clubs await their members: Baby Club (1-4 years, free except July-August), Mini Club (5-11 years, free), Club Ados (11-17 years, free, July and August). Mascots Yellito and Yellita look after the little ones. On the program: creative workshops, Olympics, treasure hunts, weekend shows and a mini-disco at 6pm every evening.
For sports enthusiasts: hiking, cycling, canoeing on the river, fitness, pilates, pétanque, molky… And from May 2026, a new guinguette area, pumptrack, hang-gliding, volleyball, inflatable structures, will further enrich the estate.

The entire length of the La Ligne river runs alongside the estate. Direct access from the campsite, free supervised swimming from 9am to 8pm, canoes available at no extra charge… The river is not a backdrop: it’s a living space in its own right. The banks are stony and authentic. Picnicking, angling, strolling at the end of the day when the low-angled lights make the stone glow. Some guests confide that it’s here, at the water’s edge, that they understand why they come back every summer.

Restaurant L’Auberge

Ardèche cuisine, local products, shaded terrace: L’Auberge is the gourmet soul of Les Ranchisses. Open for lunch and dinner (12 PM – 1 PM / 7 PM – 9 PM), it offers brasérade grills, wood-fired pizzas, regional specialties, and kids’ menus. The menu changes with the season. Booking recommended.

NaturSpa

Jacuzzi, hammam, sauna, ice fountain, herbal tea room, massage rooms, nail bar… The NaturSpa at Les Ranchisses is certified SPA de France. Access to the basic balneotherapy area is included in your stay; the private NaturSpa offers packages starting from 2 hours (around €20) and treatments from €46 to €115. The grocery store is open in the morning (8 AM – 1 PM) and afternoon (3 PM – 7 PM). Fresh bread and pastries available without pre-ordering, local products, everyday groceries, and even swimming trunks if you’ve forgotten yours. The bar shows live matches, offers a menu of homemade cocktails (mojito, spritz, pina colada, Ranchisses special…), and lends out board games.

Discover the Ardèche from the campsite

Chassiers is an ideal base for exploring the southern Ardèche. Less than an hour away: the Ardèche Gorges and Pont d’Arc, the Caverne du Pont d’Arc (replica of Grotte Chauvet 2), the listed villages of Balazuc and Vogüé, Aubenas castle, the lively markets of Joyeuse (Wednesday), Ruoms and Les Vans. Balazuc, classified as one of France’s “Most Beautiful Villages”, can be visited by bike from the estate – we have the ” Accueil Vélo” label. The towns of Chassiers (1.7 km) and Largentière (2 km) are accessible on foot or by two-wheeler.
