Located in the Vivarais region, our establishment is only a few kilometres from the entrance to the Ardèche Gorge and the famous Pont d’Arc, an impressive natural arch over the river. It is also a must for holidaymakers and tourists wishing to descend the canyon on foot or by canoe.

The Domaine les Ranchisses welcomes you in a pleasant atmosphere to spend an idyllic stay. Numerous models of mobile homes are offered to you to enjoy the region in the best conditions. A dozen different models of mobile homes are waiting for you, with an accommodation capacity of 2 to 8 people for a surface area of 20 to 40 m².
The mobile homes for rent include one to three bedrooms with pillows, blankets and undersheets provided by the camping, a living room, a fully equipped kitchen area, a shower room and separate toilets in some cases. Perfect to feel at home during your holidays. Air conditioning, reversible depending on the season, is part of the services offered for optimal comfort during your stay. You can also take advantage of a television, a dishwasher and a freezer, depending on the type of accommodation chosen.
Each rental includes a beautiful covered or semi-covered wooden terrace, with garden furniture and deckchairs to make the most of the outdoors, in a privileged environment surrounded by greenery. Bivouacers will be happy to find comfortable pitches of about 100 m² in the heart of nature. For more comfort, your camping in the Gorges de l’Ardèche offers gîtes with private swimming pools, which can accommodate from 4 to 18 people for the XXL tribes (104 to 340 m²).
Tourism in the Ardèche Gorges
Near the Domaine les Ranchisses in the Gorges de l’Ardèche, there is no lack of outdoor activities. Discover this 30 km long canyon carved out of the limestone. On the picturesque route of the Ardèche Gorges, you can enjoy breathtaking views of a magnificent natural landscape of garrigue, with 11 viewpoints. Don’t miss the hiking trails in the nature reserve of the Gorges de l’Ardèche and discover the Dent de Rez and countless waterfalls such as the Pissevieille.
The Gorges are also a unique site for climbing, to the delight of sportsmen. They are also a great opportunity to indulge in water sports such as canoeing and kayaking with family or friends, with rapids to be rafted for a day or two and the possibility of stopping at the bivouac of Gaud and Gournier. As for caving, discover the natural caves of the region: Saint Marcel cave, Salamander cave with its incredible concretions, Aven d’Orgnac cave classified as a “great site of France”, Madeleine cave classified since 1980… You won’t be bored!
From our camping in the Ardèche gorges, it is quick and easy to get to the water’s edge to find a canoe and kayak rental service. Once on the water, you will have the opportunity to admire the sumptuous scenery carved out by the river on its way, including immense cliffs that can sometimes reach 200 metres in height. You will also see sites as beautiful as they are famous, such as the Balcon des Templiers or the cirque de la Madeleine.
