Aubenas, a town of character with a prestigious past

Built on the heights of the Ardèche valley, Aubenas is one of the must-see places to visit during your stay in the region. Capital of the southern Ardèche, this charming town with a prestigious past contains many architectural treasures as well as a very rich cultural heritage. Its castle, built in the 12th century, has been classified as a historical monument since 1943. The Dôme Saint Benoît, characterised by its exceptional dome, houses collections of religious art objects such as the mausoleum of Marshal d’Ornano.

What to do in Aubenas

Food lovers, don’t miss the weekly market to taste the local gastronomy! Market gardeners, producers and local craftsmen are on hand every Saturday from 9am to 1pm to let you discover or taste their produce: seasonal fruit and vegetables, local produce, handmade creations and culinary specialities from the region.
